About Us

Ben is a passionate Chicago skateboarder and certified personal trainer who grew up in Northbrook, IL, skating parks in Chicago's North Shore neighborhoods. Ben's been skating, building ramps, and mentoring young skaters for over 20 years. His patience and skill make any aspiring skater feel comfortable and excited to hone their technique. 

Ben and his wife Alice decided to create SK8 Chicago in 2019 to provide lessons, create custom ramp builds, and host events for kids and adults across the Chicagoland Area.
